Rules of the fridge
For community spaces to be compliant with laws and not run into issues, there need to be ground rules.
Who can take?
Community Food Hotspots are for anyone in their community, so you do not have to meet any requirements or qualifications to donate or receive the food offered.
Main rule!
Take what you need, leave what you don't!
Not accepted
- raw meat of any kind
- eggs without dates
- rotten or otherwise dangerous foods
Mass products
Products like pudding cups should be separated to encourage people to only take what they need.
Locations
Food From Love begins our journey at Sarah Lawrence College in Yonkers, New York. We aim to have at least one fridge up and running by October. Stay up to date with our website and Instagram for more updates!
